Rules

SkillPath is built on the principle that meaningful career matching depends on trust, honesty, and respect. These Community Rules set out the standards of conduct expected of all Users — Talent Users, Employers, and Partners alike. Violations may result in warnings, suspension, or permanent removal from the Platform.

1. Honesty and Authenticity

The integrity of SkillPath's AI matching depends on accurate information. All Users must:

Provide truthful and accurate information in all profiles, job postings, and submissions.

Keep profile information up to date and reflective of actual skills and experience.

Not misrepresent qualifications, certifications, work history, or academic credentials.

Not impersonate another individual, company, or institution.

Not create multiple accounts to circumvent restrictions or gain unfair advantages.

2. Respect and Professionalism

SkillPath is a professional career platform. All interactions must be conducted with respect and courtesy. Users must not:

Harass, bully, threaten, or intimidate any other User.

Use offensive, discriminatory, abusive, or obscene language in any communication or profile content.

Discriminate against any Talent User on the basis of age, gender, religion, ethnicity, disability, sexual orientation, or any other protected characteristic.

Post or share content that is defamatory, libelous, or harmful to another person's reputation.

Engage in any behavior that creates a hostile or unwelcoming environment for other Users.

3. Legitimate Opportunities Only

Employers posting on SkillPath must ensure that all opportunities are genuine and lawful. The following are strictly prohibited:

Posting fraudulent, fictitious, or misleading job or internship listings.

Advertising pyramid schemes, multi-level marketing opportunities, or franchise-based arrangements.

Posting opportunities that require candidates to pay fees, make purchases, or provide financial guarantees as a condition of employment.

Advertising opportunities of a sexual nature or soliciting employees for illegal activities.

Advertising home-based income schemes or vague "work from home" opportunities with no defined role.

Posting more than one position per listing. Each role must have its own separate posting.

Reposting the same position within 14 days of the original posting date.

4. Responsible Use of AI and Platform Data

SkillPath's AI Career Engine and data are made available to Users in trust. All Users agree to:

Use AI Match Scores and career recommendations as guidance tools only, not as definitive career or hiring decisions.

Not attempt to manipulate or game the AI matching system through false data, keyword stuffing, or artificial activity.

Not use Platform data, talent profiles, or AI outputs for competitive intelligence, commercial resale, or any purpose outside of legitimate career matching.

Not scrape, harvest, or systematically extract data from the Platform using automated tools.

Not redistribute or publicly share another User's Skill Profile, resume, or personal information without their explicit consent.

5. Platform Integrity

To maintain a safe and functional Platform for all Users, the following are prohibited:

Attempting to gain unauthorized access to other accounts, systems, or databases.

Introducing malware, viruses, or any code designed to disrupt or damage the Platform.

Conducting denial-of-service attacks, spamming, or flooding the Platform with excessive automated requests.

Exploiting security vulnerabilities for personal gain or to harm others. (Responsible disclosure is encouraged — see Security Information.)

Creating or using bots, scripts, or automated tools to interact with the Platform without prior written authorization.

6. Confidentiality of Candidate Information

Employers and their authorized representatives who access Talent User profiles and resumes through SkillPath agree to:

Use candidate data solely for evaluating suitability for the specific opportunity for which the candidate applied or was matched.

Not share candidate data with third parties outside the hiring organization without explicit candidate consent.

Delete or securely destroy candidate data once it is no longer needed for the hiring process.

Not use candidate contact information to send unsolicited commercial messages or marketing materials.

Not contact any Talent User who has indicated they do not wish to be contacted.

7. Internship and Placement Standards

SkillPath is committed to improving the quality of internship experiences in the Philippines. All internship postings and placements must comply with the following:

Internship roles must involve meaningful, skill-relevant work aligned with the student's declared field of study or career interest.

Employers must not use interns as substitutes for regular, paid employees.

Stipends or compensation, where applicable, must comply with relevant CHED, TESDA, or applicable agency guidelines.

Employers must provide a safe, respectful, and professional working environment for all interns.

Internship supervisors must be accessible and available to provide guidance and feedback throughout the placement period.

8. Reporting Violations

SkillPath encourages all Users to report violations of these Rules. If you encounter content or behavior that violates these standards, please report it to:

Email: hello@startuplab.ph with the subject line "Community Report"

Include a description of the violation and, where possible, a link or screenshot of the content concerned.

SkillPath will investigate all reports in good faith and take appropriate action, which may include content removal, account suspension, or referral to relevant authorities.

9. Consequences of Violations

SkillPath reserves the right to take any of the following actions in response to violations of these Rules:

Issue a written warning to the User.

Remove offending content from the Platform.

       Temporarily suspend the User's account.

Permanently terminate the User's account and access to the Platform.

Refer matters involving criminal conduct to relevant Philippine law enforcement authorities.

Pursue civil remedies where SkillPath has suffered harm as a result of the violation.

SkillPath's decisions regarding rule enforcement are final, though Users may submit a written appeal to hello@startuplab.ph within 14 days of any enforcement action.

10. Updates to Community Rules

SkillPath may update these Community Rules from time to time as the Platform grows and evolves. Material changes will be communicated to Users with at least 14 days' notice via email or Platform announcement. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of updated Rules constitutes acceptance.
